NO CAP AND TRADE
The theory of global warming is that the climate of the world is warming, and that this will cause horrible disasters. The theory is that this warming of the planet is caused by humanity burning a lot of coal and oil, which puts a lot of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. And the theory is that this carbon dioxide in the atmosphere causes the heat of the sun to be trapped inside the atmosphere, thus resulting in a warmer climate. This theory sounds pretty far-fetched on the face of it, but that's the theory.
"Cap And Trade" is the short name for a law which President Obama wants to pass which is supposed to help solve this alleged problem. Global warming is supposedly caused by burning things, especially coal and oil. So the solution is to burn less. So every company will get a quota of how much they are allowed to burn, measured by how much carbon dioxide they are generating. That's the "cap". It's an upper limit on how much you can burn. It's like ration cards for burning things. It's like ration cards for fuel. Additionally, one company, which has more ration cards than it needs, can sell those ration cards to another company, which needs to burn more fuel to run its business. That's the "trade". Companies will trade their fuel ration cards. There will be a big market like the stock market where these ration cards, these quotas, are bought and sold.
Does that sound like a nightmare? Do you think that might be bad for the economy? Do you wonder how we can keep civilization going if we cannot use fuel? Or if we can only use a little? Can we have a civilization without energy? Or with severely limited energy?
Are you ready to believe that civilization is going to be destroyed because you are burning too much coal and oil? That's what they are telling us.

But the socialist juggernaut moves forward anyway, pretending that there is science which proves global warming, and that it is extremely urgent to pass the "Cap And Trade" law which is proposed to remedy this non-existent problem.
The promoters of "Cap And Trade" are just bluffing it out, maintaining that anyone who disagrees with them is out of touch, ignoring reality, and denying the facts.
The "Cap And Trade" law will be a further great burden on the already over-stressed economy. It is a very bad idea. And there is no scientific basis for the claim that it will solve some great problem with the climate. It's a "Big Lie".
