THE CONSTITUTION
George Washington said, "The Constitution is the guide which I never will abandon.".
President Obama and every member of Congress has sworn an oath on the Bible to uphold the Constitution. Yet they routinely go to war with no declaration of war. They give a trillion dollars of bailout to somebody, and they tell us this is absolutely necessary to save the economy, but they won't even tell us who they gave it to. And now with Obamacare they have taken a giant leap toward socialism that is entirely contrary to the Constitution and to the ideals of a free people.
Every member of Congress who has voted for any of these actions has violated his Oath Of Office to uphold the Constitution.
The principles of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson and Patrick Henry are not old-fashioned or obsolete.
Liberty is not old-fashioned or obsolete.
Patrick Henry said, "Give me liberty or give me death!". We need some of his passion today!
After thousands of years of competing kings and emperors, the idea of establishing a government which would give liberty to all men was a great and stunning advance. Liberty has been a spectacular success. However, liberty has been in a major decline. The claims of government to control everything and to tell everyone what to do have grown and grown and grown. This is not progress. This is a return to the tyranny of kings and emperors.
Let us return once again to the vision of the Founding Fathers. Let us restore the glorious ideal of liberty. Let us read and apply the U.S. Constitution.
